Disney keeps dropping major bombs on their fans as they drop trailer after trailer for their 2019 film line up. We first saw their live-action trailers for Dumbo and Aladdin. Now, directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck return to Arendalle to bring snow magic, and possibly other kinds of magic, back to the big screen in Frozen 2. Anna, Elsa, Sven, Olaf and Kristoph head deep into the forest of their kingdom to learn the truth about an ancient secret of their kingdom.
Short answer: Yes.
Speculative short answer: Yeah, probably.
So…What to Expect?
What will they discover about their beloved Arendalle? Will we learn of others with powers? We don’t know much about the next installment of the Sisters Arendalle. From what we see in the trailer, their kingdom holds more magic than we saw in the first film. This teaser does a great job.
We know from the first film and subsequent shorts, the Kingdom of Arendalle is full of mystery. The first film showed us snow magic, talking gnomes, and human-like animals (looking at you Kristoph). It’s connection to the Kingdom of Corona from Tangled means that there are other powers in the world the story takes place in. Will we see some of those other powers come to light? Will Frozen 2 explore a darker side of snow magic and the world as a whole? Only time will tell.
