In Early September, we were told that Original Trilogy Chewbacca was coming to Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. With this latest addition, the only OT trilogy we are still missing is C-3P0. There was a time when a character like C-3P0 wouldn’t fit on SWGOH holotable rosters. But with the addition of Hermit Yoda (HYoda or Hoda), there seems to be an ever-increasing place for non-attacking characters. So, what would C-3P0 look like in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes? Here’s what you think based on your feedback.
What Type of Character will C-3P0 Be?
It seems like everyone is in agreement, if and when C-3P0 comes to the game, he needs to be a supportive character. One person in the survey suggested he be a tank, but that’s just crazy. Unless he was a tank with an insanely high dodge rate, something close to always percent, the golden one needs to be a supportive character.
C-3P0’s Toon Design
Players are split on what they would like 3P0 to look like, why wouldn’t they be? The droid shows up in 9 movies, a series of games, and a multiplicity of comics. While the he doesn’t really change from medium to medium, there are some moments fans want: Naked 3P0 from E1, head riding Battle Droid from E2, silver leg, backpack, Ewok God, and red arm.

3P0’s Tags and Synergies
The tags and synergies the community wants 3P0 to have are consistent. When asked which faction the droid should benefit most, players overwhelmingly said Rebel, Droid, and Ewok need the most synergy. The Galactic Republic, Resistance, and Jedi all received the fewest votes. Based on the current synergies in the game, it would make more sense for the Droids and Ewoks to have the highest benefit from C-3P0 addition to the game. Currently, the both of these factions could benefit from a character like the golden on.
As far as character synergies, it’s obvious that most people felt that the cast of the original trilogy should have the most connection to the droid, with R2 taking the top spot. Notable outliers included Jedi Knight Anakin and Padme (if and when she is added to the game). One person even thought that Grand Master Yoda could have a solid connection to 3P0.Abilities
The Abilities of an Ewok God
Again, the consensus on what C-3P0’s abilities should look like is that his kit should be patterned after Hermit Yoda’s kit. It should be something that doesn’t have an attack but bolsters heavily those in his squad. Submitted below are some ideas for abilities that they would like to see given to the droid.
(Disclaimer: While the names of the abilities are generally the same as those that were submitted, they were tweaked to make C-3P0 more or less a god in this game.)
• Oh My… (Basic)
If any enemy character has more health or protection than C-3P0, he grants the strongest character on his squad speed up, attack up, crit damage up for two turns. If this character is a member of the OT, they gain 100% turn meter.
Let the Wookiee Win (Special)
C-3P0 grants all Wookiees on his squad defense up, tenacity up, and retribution for 1 turn. He grants Chewbacca 100% turn meter.
They Think I am Their God (Leader Zeta)
C-3P0 grants all Ewoks +5% speed (stacking) each time they attack an enemy up to +50% speed. Additionally, whenever an ewok is healed, he gains a stack of healing over time and 2% protection.
The Chances of Survival (Special Zeta)
Increase the critical hit change and Critical Damage of all OT Rebel characters by 10% (stacking) and all Droids by 10% for the remainder of the battle.
Droid Spy Network (Unique Zeta)
C-3P0 grants one random Droid who doesn’t have it Droid Spy. Any Droid with Droid Spy gains +10% evasion for the remainder of the battle.
Droid Spy: a Droid with Droid Spy loses all Protection but gains 50% defense and +5 speed per turn (stacking) until +50 speed. When a Droid with Droid Spy attacks a character with the Empire or First Order tag with their basic attack, they have a 75% chance to attack a second time for -50 damage. If the second attack lands, they have a 100% chance to attack for -75% damage. This can only happen once per turn.
