Get Ready Fans: Disney Kicks of Global Celebration

Disney + Day Starts Week-Long & Company-Wide Savings

Disney is not one to skimp on self-promotion. In fact, if Disney were one of its own characters, it would be Gaston, pompous, full of self-worth, and knowing that people will love every second of it. And with the inaugural Disney+ Day arriving this Friday, November 12th, the mega-conglomerate is really pushing to build hype around all of its many products.

Here’s a shortlist of products involved in the Disney + week-long, a company-wide celebration of savings.

FunkoPop

Whether you collect the FunkoPop bobbleheads, backpacks, clothes, pins, or games, you likely have something from the Disney company. I have a wide variety of Star Wars FunkoPops–I can’t get enough of Baby Yoda. On Friday, the 12th of November, collectors can receive an additional 10% off all Disney products.

This price drop only lasts from 12 am Pacific Time on the 12th until 9 am on the 15th. While not a huge cost saving, and not one that isn’t regularly on the Funko site as it is, I really wonder how much the Big D is going to make from this discount.

The discount code for the 10% off is DISNEYPLUSDAY.

Disney Parks

If you’re planning on being at Disneyland or Disney World on the 12th, it looks like you might get to arrive early. This is kind of a big deal. Most people show up early to be left into the park, just to wait to actually ride the rides. On the 12th, Disney+ subscribers with a valid ticket or pass and theme park reservations can enjoy 30 minutes early access to the park along with other special benefits from across the park

Disneyland Paris will feature special guests and will remain open 30 minutes after the normal closing time.

Disney + On TikTok

So Disney+ is on TikTok. Why? Maybe they want to just have their characters do silly dances. But it’s a thing now.

Disney + Deals & Premieres

It wouldn’t be Disney+ Day without a ton of great new content, special offers, and promotions for the fastest-growing streaming platform online. If you don’t have a subscription or have let your subscription lapse, viewers can get one month of Disney+ for 1.99. The price will go up from there, but a month of service at 1.99 is enough time to binge-watch a number of your favorite shows.

If the low price doesn’t entice you, a number of the previously announced shows will be on the streaming service on the 12th. These shows include:

  • Shang Chi and  The Legend of the Ten Rings
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Home Sweet Home Alone
  • Olaf Presents
  • Frozen Forever
  • That Ballad of Nessie
  • Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett

And much, much more.

What Am I Hyped About?

The one thing that I am most excited about is the first looks, new trailers, exclusive clips, and other appearances across social media related to new content from Marvel, Star Wars, and even some of the other Disney products, but mostly Star Wars. Rumors have it that fans will see clips from shows like Andor, Kenobi, season 2 of The Bad Batch, and even get more information about a potential Old Republic show and more.
