Marvel Studios Avengers: Endgame Shatters box office Records with 1.2 Billion

This last weekend Avengers: Endgame debuted to crowds all over the world. This is not only the final installment to the first round of Avengers movies, but also closes our a number of the storylines begun with Iron Man in 2008. This decade-long journey to Endgame has paid off with a blockbuster opening weekend of 1.2 billion worldwide.

The previous record holder was the first Avengers: Infinity War reached the billion-dollar mark 11 days into its opening run. Endgame shattered the record with 1,209.0 billion in only 5 days. This means that the newest film from Marvel Studios is set to not only break the opening week record but also will set a record for most money earned for a single film.

Kevin Feige and the Marvel Studios team have continued to challenge notions of what is possible at the movie theatre both in terms of storytelling and at the box office,” said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios.

So how much money will Avengers: Endgame make in the end? Only time will tell. But if the reviews are any indication of how much the film will make in the end, the Endgame money train is nowhere near the station.
