Dad Bod Boba Fett Legendary Event Inbound?

Dad Bod Boba Fett is Coming to Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes

Dad Bob Boba Fett is coming to Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes holotables as one of the next legendary events, and I have proof! Well, not proof, just a series of well thought out reasons, clues, and conjectures that lead me to believe that the Boba Fett from Disney+’s The Mandalorian is coming soon (™). So while this is clearly SWGOH speculation, there is a level of login that makes this fit in. So, putting aside the fact that fans love Temuera Morrison and want to see him immortalized in the game, here are three reasons I believe that Dad Bod Boba is coming to Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes as the next Legendary Event character.

We Already Have Mando 2 Characters

With the success of season 2 of The Mandalorian, it’s no doubt that we are going to be getting the characters from the show in the game eventually. And that has already started to happen. Already on the holotables we already have

  • Dark Trooper
  • Moff Gideon
  • Bo Katan Kryze
  • Cara Dune
  • Greif Karga (We love you Carl Weathers)
  • Shiny Mando (Beskar Mando)
  • Good Mando (OG Mando)

Hell, we even have Baby Yoda (Grogu) and–arguably–Ahsoka Tano from The Mandalorian Season 2. So it’s not like we don’t already have characters from the first two seasons of the show. So why make us wait for Dad Bod Boba?

To build hype.

We have roughly four months until the Book of Boba Fett launches on Disney Plus. In that time frame, fans are going to see the Disney marketing team amp up the excitement around the new show. As part of that, anything and everything that has the potential to include the Boba Fett from the new show will do so.

So when the devs over at Capital Games say “Soon” (™), in this case, they really mean it.

Bounty Hunter Love

A trend that the Star Wars mobile game company follows is to release characters months in advance of something big. The Bad Batch was released between 4 and 5 months before Lord Vader, the newest Rebels –Mon Mothma and C-3P0 & Chewie–were released around the same time before Jedi Master Luke, and so on. This trend goes all the way back to the addition of characters like the Phoenix squad needed to unlock Grand Admiral Thrawn.

So if you want to figure out what is coming next in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, you have to look at what is coming out now and where the game is focusing currently.

SWGOH players are gearing up to unlock the newest fleet capital ship, the Executor. In July’s Road Ahead, players were given the requirement list for this ship and roughly given an explanation of how this ship will handle. We know the Executor is going to be a ship built and surrounded by the idea of giving the Bounty Hunters a fleet capital ship.

The prime requirements for this new ship are bounty hunters. This makes sense because they played a huge role in The Empire Strikes Back, which is where the ship came from. This means that the bounty hunter faction will be an even more important faction moving forward. This is only confirmed by the fact that IG-88 is being the August login reward character.

And you know what they say about the login reward characters, don’t you? Do you?

But Why not a Galactic Legend?

Just wait. I’m building to that. Or better, Capital Games is building to that. We fans loved Boba Fett as we saw him in The Mandalorian Season 2. He was amazing. Not only did the Fett-man survive the Sarlacc pit, but he aged gracefully in the process. But the reason why I believe we are getting a Legendary Boba Fett and not a Galactic Legend is because of the story.

Fans don’t know what happened to the legendary bounty hunter after his time in the Sarlacc, at least not in canon. For Capital Games to build a character kit around a character that hasn’t really been developed yet would feel premature.

So it’s more likely that players will see a Legendary Boba Fett with a kit developed around the abilities we saw in season 2 of The Mandalorian than for the devs over at Capital Games to telegraph what he might look like in the Book of Boba.

Either way, the next Boba Fett is going to be amazing. What do you think about Boba Fett coming to Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes and how do you think he will come? Leave a comment in the section below.
